    This variety is grown in the San Joaquin Valley and is named after Fukushima, Japan— the origin of its parent cultivar the “Fukuoka.”
    This variety is a direct descendant of the oldest apricots, which were grown in China. At their origin, apricots were white-green and quite fragile. To gain some firmness, the original variety was bred with the Spanish Moniqui and the Japanese Moume white apricots. Together, this created the La Crème, an exceptional white apricot with a unique honey flavor.
     
    White Apricots have a velvety exterior, light yellow in color with blush. The inside flesh is creamy white, honey-sweet and juicy beyond belief. Available for only 2-3 weeks.
