Beans (Dragon Tongue)
Dragon Tongue Beans have a creamy colored back round with purple streaks and are about 5 inches long. They are tender, sweet and have a very beany flavor. With a uniquely colored, edible pod of distinctive purple streaks and flecks over a pale yellow background, the Dragon Tongue Bean is considered a “Romano” variety -- flat, wide and flavorful.

    Dragon Tongue Beans can be used as you would a snap bean. They are stringless and when cooked the purple fades while its flavor intensifies.  Use raw for an unusual splash of color in salads, as a garnish, pickled with spices and in stir-fry and casseroles.
